Holidaying with the Kids in Pattaya, Thailand

It can be hard to find holiday destinations that tick all the boxes when it comes to travelling with kids but Pattaya is guaranteed to please the whole family. From frozen world theme parks, to underwater world sleepovers with sharks – we have picked a bunch of activities to keep both you and the kids entertained! Keep reading for the perfect Pattaya Family Holiday!

Frosty Tuk Tuks

FROST Magical Ice Of Siam

FROST Magical Ice Of Siam

The perfect escape from the heat, this icy themed park allows you and the kids to enjoy -10 degrees Celsius temperatures while posing for photos inside ice-sculpted Tuk Tuks and igloos. Frost Pattaya is split into an indoor and outdoor section. Inside you’ll find frozen statues of penguins and polar bears that are lit with coloured spotlights to create cool effects. Outside, where the air temperature is closer to 40 degrees, there are giant elephant sculptures and large mythical creatures that appear as if they are made of snow but in fact are made of sand that has been coloured white. Never fear if you only have summer clothes in your suitcase – warm coats can be hired at the entrance of the park. We recommend booking online to get the best deals.

Sleeping with Sharks

Underwater World Pattaya

Underwater World Pattaya

Imagine having a sleepover in an aquarium and watching real-life sharks swim over you as you drift off to dreamland. Underwater World Pattaya
offers kids the chance to do just that – as well as learn about Thailand’s amazing marine life. There’s a touch pool, coral reef zone and a tank full of sharks, stingrays and giant jellyfish. While your kids snuggle up in their sleeping bags, you can test your bravery by booking a scuba diving session with sharks.

Beauty in a Bottle

Bottle Art Museum Pattaya

Bottle Art Museum Pattaya

If your children like being creative, be sure to take them to the Bottle Art Museum where they can marvel at the tiny temples and world famous landmarks that have been carefully constructed – inside bottles. Not only will they love seeing so many miniature masterpieces concealed behind glass, but they’ll also get a kick out of wondering how the artist managed to build something so perfect in such a tiny space! And they will even have the chance to create their own bottle art by taking part in one of the classes run at the museum.

Cartoon Craziness

Cartoon Network Amazone

Cartoon Network Amazone

An amusement park that’s themed around all of their favourite cartoon characters…what’s not to love? Your kids will get a kick out of Cartoon Network Amazone which was recently voted one of the top 10 water parks in Asia. Rides inspired by Lady Rainicorn, the Powerpuff Girls and Jake from Adventure Time, are all on offer at this crazy park along with round-the-clock live shows full of singing and dancing. For the little ones there are several safe splash pools and for older kids there are some very tall water slides as well as the Goop Loop which provides the opportunity to plummet 12 metres into a pool of water via a trap door.

Counting Sheep

Pattaya Sheep Farm

Pattaya Sheep Farm

It’s hard to go past Pattaya Sheep Farm when it comes to activities for animal lovers. Kids can hand feed newborn lambs, pick up guinea pigs, pat baby goats and ride ponies. The farm has lots of colourful and quaint buildings that make for great photo opportunities – as well as a steakhouse where the family can enjoy a hearty meal after they’ve finished cuddling all the cute farm animals.

Garden of Delight

Nongnooch Garden Pattaya

Nongnooch Garden Pattaya

After travelling to all corners of the globe and falling in love with the flower gardens of England, France and Italy – a Thai couple bought a large block of land in Pattaya and turned it into a plant paradise. At Nongnooch Garden you and your family will be able to explore quaint European themed gardens with perfectly manicured hedges and colourful blooms – as well as walk through cactus and rock gardens where enormous dinosaur, walrus and elephant statues stand, life-like, amongst the green. We recommend hiring bikes to cover the 2.4 square kilometres. Stop by the on-site restaurant for some yummy Thai food after you’re done admiring all the flowers.

Pizza Chef for the Day

Pizza Plaza Pattaya

Pizza Plaza Pattaya

Kids love making things and Pizza Plaza offers them the opportunity to cook their own Italian savoury treats. Just select the toppings and then sit at a table and let the kids spread on their favourite sauces, salami and cheese before sliding their creation into a cute little pizza oven. If that’s not enough to keep them amused, there are also plenty of kids’ activities at the restaurant which is based on an American retro-diner theme.

Fly through the Jungle

Flight of the Gibbon Chonburi

Flight of the Gibbon Chonburi

It would be hard to find a more liberating way to swing through your holiday in Pattaya than above the jungle treetops on a zipline as part of The Flight of the Gibbon experience. This award-wining eco-adventure allows children to fly through the forest on a three kilometre course with 24 platforms, two sky bridges and 300 metres of zipline. It also gives them the chance to learn about Thai plants and animals thanks to the enthusiastic local guides who lead the tours.
