As a leader in the vacation ownership industry, we have a responsibility to set a positive example for others to follow. At Anantara Vacation Club Seminyak Bali, we have been doing just that. Our footprint in Bali is just as important to us as the guests who come to stay with us. That’s why we take the time to actively give back to the local community that we love so much.
For the local inhabitants, Anantara Vacation Club Seminyak Bali provides work opportunities that can really make a difference. Of the total team members at the resort, 80% are Balinese, with the remaining employees coming from Java and Sumatra. More than half of the staff has been with the company since the resort’s beginnings, five years ago, and 80% have worked at the resort for over two years. At Anantara, we don’t just provide jobs, we provide careers.
We try to give back to our local community in as many ways as possible. In conjunction with Minor Founder’s Day, Anantara Vacation Club Seminyak Bali hosted the 2nd annual blood donation drive. Also participating were the Anantara sister properties. All staff members were encouraged to participate, and the turnout was fantastic.

Ramadhan is a time of year to bring yourself closer to God and to improve your personal character and morality. In the spirit of this holiday, we held a breakfast with local orphaned children and shared food with the mosque that many of our Muslim team members regularly attend.

As the stunning nature of Bali has given herself over to us to enjoy, it is our responsibility to maintain and watch over her. Every month we are actively involved in a community organized “Cleaning Blitz,” in which we work together to clean the beach areas and the roads leading to our resort. By working as a team, we can help preserve the natural beauty of Bali.

To ensure that Bali will still offer the same beauty to our children and grandchildren, we participated in the planting of mangrove trees throughout the local community. Together with Anantara Seminyak and Anantara Uluwatu, we planted hundreds of mangrove seeds along the coastal area in Sanur.
In Asian cultures, taking care of the elderly is an important tradition and part of life. To do our part, we visited the residents of the local nursing home, bringing them much needed first aid kits and cleaning supplies. Together, we cleaned their facilities, from the beds to the windows, the floors and the bathrooms. Afterwards, we shared a delicious lunch together.
If you want to make the world a better place, it’s best to start at home. That’s why we strive to create a fun and healthy environment, not only for our guests, but for our staff as well. To achieve this, we host Futsal matches and Zumba fitness classes for everyone to take part in.

It is our philosophy that it’s important to give back however you can. No gesture is too small, no kindness is unwarranted. It takes teamwork to make the world a better place. It requires people working closely together, with a shared vision of building a better tomorrow.
