“When I got an email telling me I won the Anantara Dream Vacation, my first though was, “Is this real?” I just glanced at the message but didn’t take it seriously. Then I got a follow-up message from someone at Anantara Vacation Club. I was thrilled! As I got more details—about the prize, the destination—my excitement grew by leaps and bounds. The prize turned out to be much, much bigger than I dreamed of.
I decided to bring my girlfriend, and we chose Anantara Veli Resort & Spa, as we wanted seclusion and peace in a location away from the rest of the world. We live in different countries and it was the perfect way to spend quality time together. We wanted a chance to bond, connect and lay out a roadmap for the future. Anantara Veli Resort & Spa was perfect.
“When we arrived, we felt like we were in paradise. We found ourselves on a beautiful island, in the midst of perfect beaches, captivating scenery, smiling and caring resort staff and plenty to do, like snorkeling and scuba diving. We were so impressed with the wonderful white sand beaches and incredible sea flora, crystal clear water, coral reefs, turquoise lagoons and unforgettable sunsets. It was romantic and exclusive, and so lush and connected to nature.
Our Deluxe Overwater Bungalow was right in the middle of the lagoon, and it was large, with every possible amenity. We could see beautiful sunrises and sunsets every evening right from the comfort of our bungalow, which was actually even more beautiful and serene than the pictures. You have to see it to believe it.
Every member of staff took exceptional care of us, and it was amazing to see their motivation and dedication to service. We were particularly touched when the chef at 73 Degrees noticed that we are vegetarians and prepared special food for us at breakfast every morning.”
“After breakfast we spent time at the beach, and in the afternoon we played badminton, table tennis and other sports. We also tried snorkeling, had a photo shoot and visited Dhigu and Naladhu. We took lot of books with us but didn’t finish a single one! We had so much to see and experience together.
We enjoyed Dhoni, where we could stare out at the sea while snacking on well-crafted drinks and burgers, and having lived in Thailand for so long, I was very impressed by the quality of the food and service at Baan Huraa, the Thai restaurant. I was thrilled to see a special vegetarian menu.
Evenings were special with sunsets and calm seas. We had great candlelight dinners at Fushi Café, and we loved the atmosphere and live performances. It was a very romantic experience, sitting close to each other near the sea, toasting with sparkling wine.
