Anantara Vacation Club Bali, Seminyak will whip up the Jahe Sere, a refreshing Balinese blend of lemongrass, ginger, honey and lime.
Sip a glass while lounging by the pool and your mouth won’t be the only thing tingling with delight: Tea has loads of health benefits. Black and green tees are packed with antioxidants that may reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease, plus vitamins B2, B1 and B6, potassium, manganese, folic acid and calcium. Research shows that Rosella—a species of hibiscus—may lower blood pressure, Jasmine flower promotes relaxation and reduces stress, while peppermint and ginger calm a cranky stomach. Fruits pack their own nutritional punch, with two ounces of lemon or lime delivering 31% of your day’s vitamin C, and mango coming in a close second with 25%.

4 fun facts about tea
- China is the birthplace of tea. One legend claims that it was discovered in 2737 BCE by emperor Shen Nung when leaves blew into his pot of boiling water.
- Tea reached the Western world in the 16th century via Portuguese merchants. It became popular in the UK in the 17th century when the British began large-scale production in India.
- ‘Tea’ and ‘herbal tea’ are not the same thing! Teas come from the camellia sinensis plant, and the colour and variety of the tea (such as green, black, white or oolong) depends on how the leaves are treated. Herbal teas are an infusion of herbs in water.
- There are more than 1,500 types of tea, but black tea is the most popular, making up about 75% of the world’s tea use.
Beat the heat and sip your way to a sweet summer holiday at Anantara Vacation Club Phuket Mai Khao and Anantara Vacation Club Bali, Seminyak.
